BEST QUALITY MARJORAM - ORIGIN FRANCE - PROVENCE
PRODUCT ORIGIN:
The Les Aromates de Provence producers and pickers are all located in the Provence Alpes and Côtes d’Azur region and in the Drôme Provençale region. They grow aromatic plants with unique flavours under the Provence sun. These plants are rich in essential oil, giving them authentic taste and aromas.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
SPECIES: Marjoram (Origanum majorana)
COLOURS: dark green to grey green
When used as dried leaves, this herb is often confused with oregano, or thyme, but it has a slightly more delicate aroma. It is a perennial plant of the Lamiaceae family, grown as a condiment plant for its aromatic leaves. It is a species closely related to Common Oregano (Origanum vulgare). It is sometimes called Garden Marjoram.
PERFECT MATCH:
It can be used to flavour many culinary preparations. It should be added at the end of preparation, as cooking it for too long can cause all its aroma to disappear.
OTHER IDEAS FOR USE:
Use for your tomato sauces.
Ideal for rabbit with marjoram
In your olive oils, for a delicate perfume.
PROCESSING:
Each batch of marjoram is first dried at the producer’s premises, then sent to the cooperative and cleaned in 2 or 3 steps on a sorter-separator to achieve the desired quality. This marjoram is processed and prepared in Trets at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
