The Les Aromates de Provence producers and pickers are all located in the Provence Alpes and Côtes d’Azur region and in the Drôme Provençale region. They grow aromatic plants with unique flavours under the Provence sun. These plants are rich in essential oil, giving them authentic taste and aromas.
Species: Winter savory (Satureja montana). Also called Pèbre d’ail or pèbre d’ane in the Provençal dialect, this winter savory has grown under the Provence sun and has received the best care to keep all its taste qualities intact. It is one of the emblematic plants of Provence and part of the blend known as “Herbes de Provence”.
Aromatic and delicately perfumed, this Mediterranean plant will be a perfect accompaniment to goat’s cheese!
OTHER IDEAS FOR USE:
Use with legumes such as lentils with winter savory, vegetables and feta cheese. Ideal for flavouring fromage frais, salads, etc. Winter savory goes perfectly with all your patés.
Each plant batch making up the mix is first dried at the producer’s premises, then sent to the cooperative and cleaned in 2 or 3 steps using a sorter-separator to achieve the desired quality. Processing and preparation are carried out in Trets at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain.
